The Health Systems Board hosts two types of events:
- Public lectures and discussions – these events are open to all interested persons. They take various forms, from public lectures followed by discussion to moderated panel discussions. They aim to educate and inform and typically present new research or evaluation findings, or the content of a new report.
- Invited discussion series – these events are by invitation only, and while they may be initiated by a short presentation, they are primarily fora for discussion and debate. The discussion series typically focuses on contemporary and contentious issues in health policy and are held under Chatham House Rules (i.e. participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed).
We aim to host one event each month, usually on the last Friday of the month, but this is flexible according to speakers’ schedules. The Board will monitor attendance and success of these different types of events and adapt its strategy as needed.
Below is a list of past and upcoming public events convened by the Health Systems Board. More information on the discussion series can be found in the Members Area.
